Threat Assessments

We provide threat assessments related to violence and other problematic behaviors. These assessments assist organizations determine the nature and seriousness of a potential risk posed by a person of interest and help to identify appropriate strategies to manage the risk. As part of our threat assessments we:

  1. Collect information about circumstances or incidents of concern.
  2. Analyze the information using systematic, evidence-based procedures.
  3. Develop individualized strategies to manage risk.
  4. Communicate findings and opinions in the form of oral and written reports.
  5. Support implementation of management strategies.

Misconduct Investigations

We conduct investigations to assist organizations to determine whether allegations of misconduct are substantiated. As part of our misconduct investigations we:

  1. Collect information about the alleged misconduct.
  2. Review the evidence to make factual findings which are legally defensible.
  3. Apply the factual findings to applicable legislation and policies.
  4. Recommend steps that should be taken to remedy or remediate the identified workplace problems.
  5. Communicate findings and opinions in the form of a written report, as well as reporting on the outcome to the parties.

Mental Health Evaluations

We provide independent mental health evaluations by duly qualified and licensed mental health professionals to assist organizations in addressing concerns related to mental health, fitness for work and study, and duty to accommodate. As part our mental health evaluations we start by gathering relevant information. We then analyze the information to determine the following:

  1. Is there a mental health concern?
  2. Do the concerns impair ability to work or study?
  3. Is there any effective treatment for those concerns?
  4. What steps could be taken to mitigate those concerns?

We then communicate findings and opinions in a written report.
