Case Formulation in Violence Risk Assessment

If professionals do not understand why an individual perpetrated violence in the past, it is difficult or impossible to prevent violence in the future. This workshop will cover: 1) action theory as the framework that underlies structured professional judgment, and 2) the implications of using action theory for case formulation when assessing and managing violence risk.
