    Dr. Stephen D. Hart is a Director and Threat Assessment Specialist at Protect International Risk and Safety Services Inc. He’s also a Professor of Psychology at Simon Fraser University in Canada and a Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Bergen in Norway. Stephen’s expertise is in clinical-forensic psychology with special interests in group, collective, self-directed violence, and the nexus between personality disorder and violence.

    Brianne is a Director and Threat Assessment Specialist at Protect International. She obtained a BA degree in psychology and MA and PhD degrees in clinical-forensic psychology from Simon Fraser University. Her work focuses on the assessment and management of risk for violence, with a special focus on self-directed violence, multiple risks, and personality disorders. She is qualified in British Columbia as a Registered Psychologist or RPsych. Outside of Protect International, Brianne is a contract psychologist with Forensic Psychiatric Services Commission of British Columbia and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University.

Assessing Fitness for Work and Study

Fitness for Work (FFW) and Fitness for Study (FFS) evaluations related to mental health problems may be required to determine if employees or students can perform essential job or study functions without risking harm to themselves or co-workers. During this workshop you will learn about important legal issues pertaining FFW and FFS evaluations, how to prepare for and proceed with these evaluations, and practical issue related to communicating opinions. Successful completion will be recognized with a certificate.

All professionals who register for the workshop will receive access to a recording of the workshop for 30 days following the workshop in case they are not able to attend the workshop or if they would like a refresher of the material.

Cancellation or changes to registrations must be received in writing. 90% of the registration fees received will be refunded 30 days or more before the event. 75% refund will be received within 30 days before the event.
