    Dr. Stephen D. Hart is a Director and Threat Assessment Specialist at Protect International Risk and Safety Services Inc. He’s also a Professor of Psychology at Simon Fraser University in Canada and a Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Bergen in Norway. Stephen’s expertise is in clinical-forensic psychology with special interests in group, collective, self-directed violence, and the nexus between personality disorder and violence.

Overview Webinar: AI and Violence Risk (FREE)

There has been a great deal of enthusiasm surrounding the potential use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the threat assessment landscape; however, unbridled enthusiasm may overshadow the significant problems associated with the application of Al to threat assessment. This workshop will 1) discuss practical use of AI including a hindrance of critical thinking, 2) discuss ethical problems with the use of AI including the potential for AI to be unfair in some cases, and 3) discuss legal problems including the possibility that AI technology may be admissible in court.

All professionals who register for the workshop will receive access to a recording of the workshop for 30 days following the workshop in case they are not able to attend the workshop or if they would like a refresher of the material.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation or changes to registrations must be received in writing. 90% of the registration fees received will be refunded 30 days or more before the event. 75% refund will be received within 30 days before the event.
