Description

The AVRT (Watt et al., 2023) is a decision support aid that is intended to help prevent violence by sorting, prioritizing, and responding to cases when information is received or collected that raises concerns about violence risk. The AVRT has been under development for more than 20 years and was based on a comprehensive literature review and research on, training on, and implementation of the AVRT in diverse settings around the world.

License

The AVRT License makes the tool available to you in digital format. Under the terms of a License, your team, organization, or enterprise can ensure easy access to tools for unlimited users and unlimited use for up to 5 years. Manuals are available in viewable (PDF) format. Worksheets are available in viewable/printable (PDF) and fillable (PDF, DOTX) formats. A License even permits you to develop bespoke materials based on the manuals or worksheets, or to incorporate them into information management systems.

Training

Training is essential to ensure appropriate use of the AVRT.

Protect International offers training workshop in the use of the AVRT. See our website for a list of upcoming live (in person and online) trainings, as well as for self-paced, on-demand training. Our standard training is about 6 contact hours in length and includes completion of one or more practice cases.

Alternatively, evaluators can ensure they are adequately trained to use the AVRT through some combination of self-study and supervised practice.

In the event the goods we deliver to you are not those listed in the confirmation e-mail sent at the time of dispatch, we will deliver the correct goods to you and arrange for return of the incorrect goods to us at our own expense.
In the event the goods we deliver to you appear to be damaged upon receipt, please advise us and send us documentation of the damage in the form of a brief description supported by photographs. If we determine that the goods were damaged before or during delivery, we will deliver undamaged goods to you and arrange for return of the damaged goods to us at our own expense.
